ABOUT CRAB:

The Chesapeake Region Accessible Boating program is a 501C (3) non-profit organization dedicated to making sailing available for people with disabilities.

CRAB has a fleet of 6 that are modified to meet the needs of sailor with disabilities.

The Boatyard Bar & Grill Regatta will be CRAB’s first entry into racing on Chesapeake Bay and will provide CRAB sailors an opportunity to compete against all comers in an open PHRF event.

ABOUT THE RACE:

The race is open to CRAB and to all boats having a valid PHRF handicap certificate and to cruising one design boats with an established PHRF rating associated with their fleet. COD boats deviating in any way from that rating must submit a valid PHRF certificate.

Non-spinnaker pursuit start, reverse handicap, race. Boats start in order by PHRF rating with the highest ratings (slowest boats) starting first.

Entry fee is $35.00 per boat

Entry deadline for boats with a PHRF Rating is August 28, 2008. (All boats are encouraged to have or get PHRF Rating. See www.PHRFchesbay.com)

Entry deadline for boats needing a complimentary/temporary PHRF rating is August 20, 2008.

Race starts at noon and will be held on the Chesapeake Bay south of the Bay Bridge.

Race will be managed and run by the Eastport Yacht Club.

 

ABOUT THE PARTY:

The party will be held at the Eastport Yacht Club, 317 First Street, Annapolis, MD 21403

Music provided by the band Misspent Youth. Drinks will be served at 4 pm with the band and food from 5 pm – 8 pm

The party is open to regatta participants and CRAB supporters.

$5.00 entry tickets for racers are available only at skipper bag pick-up Sept. 5 & 6

$10.00 entry tickets are available at EYC the day of the party.

Food and drink will be sold by tickets that are available at the party. ID is required for entrance.
